California Medical Expert Witnesses

Dr. Emin Gharibian is a licensed clinical psychologist and forensic neuropsychologist with extensive experience conducting psychological and neuropsychological evaluations in both clinical and legal settings. He is the founder and Clinical Director of Verdugo Psychological Associates and is appointed to expert witness panels for the Los Angeles Adult and Juvenile Courts, as well as the California Board of Psychology.

Dr. Gharibian’s forensic specialties include evaluations for competency to stand trial, criminal responsibility, testamentary capacity, personal injury, fitness for duty, and pre-employment screenings for law enforcement. He also conducts neuropsychological testing for ADHD, learning disabilities, cognitive impairment, and malingering assessments.

With prior experience in the California Department of Corrections and Patton State Hospital, and current work with the CDCR’s Offenders with Mental Health Disabilities Unit, Dr. Gharibian is well-versed in civil commitment law, risk assessment, and expert testimony. He is a Reserve Police Officer with the Glendale Police Department and holds advanced post-doctoral certification in neuropsychology.
