With over 25 years of clinical, academic, and research experience, he has held appointments at premier institutions including UCLA, Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Dr. Whitman is recognized nationally for his contributions to the understanding and treatment of vestibular disorders, having published extensively in top medical journals and co-authored the book Dizziness: Why You Feel Dizzy and What Will Help You Feel Better (Johns Hopkins University Press). He has served in numerous leadership roles, including Neurology Residency Program Director at UC Irvine and faculty lecturer for Harvard, USC, and Cedars-Sinai CME programs.
